How do we get EVERYBODY to realize that yanking a bow line is a huge
    mistake?

If your marina has any sort of regular social get together have a guest
speaker - someone from outside, not a member of the group - come in and give
    a presentation on seamanship skills.

The presentation would focus on docking and close in maneouvering.
A local Power Squadron or maybe a Coast Guad Aux. group would no doubt have
a qualified and willing speaker who already has some presentation skills.

The message becomes non confrontational and doesn't have to point
    fingers.
Because the peson is an outsider with supposedly no awareness of recent
events by certian individuals, he is not seen as a threat or accuser,
merely as a conveyor of boating relevant knowledge.

Sometimes an outside expert is a good way to bring a message across.

    Good luck.
