I had a 1961 Atomic 4 in my Chesapeake 32 sloop. No oil filter, salt water
cooled. In 1982 I took it to G.A Plumb after I white sheeted it and they
said the specs were within "new" limits. I sold the boat, but my guess is
its still running. It was one of the "industrial" Atomic 4's, built to run
    24/7.

To quote Mark Twain, "the rumors of your engine's death are greatly
    exaggerated!"

                                              Regards....
