    Hi,
     
    I recently returned from Isla Mujeres just off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, and while I was there I was talking to an American young lady who regularly traveled between Cancun and her home here in the states.
     
    She had a local (Isla Mujeres) vet to certify the health of her dog, which she adopted while there, and had no trouble entering the US with the animal. Of course, she flew and I assume she had the dog in a pet taxi (kennel) and put it in with the baggage.
     
    The thing to do is to get cerification from you vet as to the shot history and general health of your pet. It should be no problem after that.
