    I don't have much detail on how the damage occurred. You're probably
    correct that it happened while shifting from forward to reverse as I tried
    to figure out what the problem was. I also tried to motor for a while which
    resulted in lots of vibration and loosened the packing in the strut (another
    reason for a quick haul). I suspect most of the damage occurred when I
    tried to motor with one or more of the blades out of position. The Yard has
    been in contact with PYI (the manufacturer) and, after e-mailing some
    digital pictures of the parts, they feel that they can repair (rather than
    replace) the prop at a significant savings in cost. Let's hope so.
