    Hi All,
Is the Damp Rid sold as a packaged product or is it necessary to buy the calcium chloride and put it in plastic dripper pots?
    Thanks,
    Fred

I would like to know if anyone has tried the Air-Dryr units (Davis Instruments) or similar units on their boats.

We use Damp Rid (calcium chloride in a plastic dripper pot) in our clothes closets and it works very well.

Our mattresses are foam and enclosed in a plastic envelope. Several cotton mattress pads insure comfort. The plywood under the mattress never gets damp.

In the winter you have two choices: thoroughly ventilate to exhaust the damp air from your boat (this will also exhaust the warmth too) or thoroughly insulate the boat so no cold material has contact with the damp interior air.
