    Assuming you a correct, you need to go with plan B. And put in a drain basket(s)(in the cockpit) that is meant for this purpose. Kitchen brass is _not_ OK. It's marginal enough living safe and quiet under your kitchen sink! Use hose to connect the drain basket with the thru-hull, not pipe - hose flexes happily with the movement of the boat, pipe does not.

    Meantime you may want to tape it shut from the top and mop out the cockpit regularly. Could try pouring some gunk down there, but most like it will pour out the cracks without plugging the leak and then pour down the side of you boat at the thru-hull.
