I've sort of lost track of the beginning of this
thread, but I believe it was talking about
waterproofing sunbrella. Sunbrella uses a polymer for
waterproofing. It's advantages are penetration into
the fabric, resistance to dirt, mildew, and uv
protection. There are several products on the market
that are recommended to waterproof sunbrella and have
the same characteristics as the original
waterproofing.
Wax in sunbrella will attract dirt and provide a home
for mildew. I'd want the manufacturers input on the
affect of the varous chemicals on the synthetic
fabric. I'm sure the manufacturer would be more than
happy to provide guidance.
