On the supuply side we simply use the shower hose to supply water. (see
other message)
On the discharge side of the head I installed a ball valve (Apollo 1 1/4").
When we pump the head we open the ball valve, when finished we close it.
No vented loops. No smell. Minimal use of water. Fresh water flush. Sea
locked out of the boat. Replace the ball valve about every five years.
Has worked great in full-time live-aboard boat for 7 years. .
