I would have to agree, I have a bunch of the small canvas rigging
bags from Harbor Freight. They were about $4.00 per bag and
are large enough for the long tools, but small enough in volume
that you can't make them too heavy. The one with all the socket
wrenches, extensions and drivers weighs about 20lbs.
The rest are under 10lbs per bag. I have separate bags for
types of tools, elec, plumbing, sharp, etc. This makes them easier
to find. I soak the rust prone tools with one of the LPS sprays and
put them away. Over time the bag gets slightly oily and doesn't retain moisture
very well. The only improvement I can think of is staining the bags different
colors with anilyn dye or maybe just the handles with a permanent ink pen....
