radiater to cool a generator and using Buick -approved
coolant in it (Buick had the most reliable aluminum
engines on the market in the '70s).
You would still have to deal with the heat but I knew a boat that did this
with the main engine!
After the recent hurricane in the Chesapeake, one boatyard ran their office
using the genset on a motorboat that was hauled out. They had the exhaust dump
into an aluminum jon boat on the ground under the transom with a hose to suck
the water back in. They would change the water twice a day.
