I put gauges in all three of my fuel tanks. I bought mine at West, but
lots of people carry them. Then sender has a 36" throw, which was too
short for me, but it's all I could find. When my tank reads empty I have
about 1/4 tank left. They're fairly inexpensive and reliable, and almost
flush with the top of the tank, however you need about 18" of clearance
above the tank to insert the sender. You also may need to bend the float
wire to clear any baffles in the tank.
