Here in Canada we try to save our cars from rust and road salt by coating the
panels with oil. It is some sort of mixture that sticks to the panels where
sprayed. In my experience it stops expanding rust dead - I think because it
prevents oxygen from getting at the steel. Is there some sort of treatment like
this for steel boats?
