The isolator would be in the wiring between the alternator and the
batteries, mine is hooked to the 3 terminals on the 1-2-all switch. If you
cannot find it, a digital voltmeter would show a voltage increase on the
battery NOT selected by the switch when you start the engine. If you have a
shore power charger, you would need to turn that off for maybe 24 hours to
be able to see the voltage change. These gadgets do have a high failure
rate, they short out, so it may have been removed.
