    Hey Jim,
    My Anchor chain locker drains directly overboard through a dedicated through hull, it is sealed off from the rest of the boat. I like this setup as that locker is prone to taking on water at sea. I want it draining as quickly as possible to reduce weight forward. I'd think about sealing yours off and installing a through hull if the bottom of the locker is above the waterline.

    Good waves here at the moment due to Kate, overhead, burly......
