I received several responses to my question, how to clean PVC cowls.
Instead of using any of the suggestions I cleaned the older, dirty & slightly
yellowed, cowl with a combination of:
whitening toothpaste
Oxyclean powder
Vinegar
I mixed the ingredients to form a paste and scrubbed the cowl with an old
towel.
The results- the older cowl is now as white as the new one.
