Hurricane Fabian didn't destroy my boat, as it did many others, but it did make a slow leak much worse. The starboard upper shroud chainplate has been calling out to be rebedded and sealed where the bolts go through the deck. Now it is imperative. I am intending to remove the upper shroud turnbuckles altogether while leaving everything else intact. I will then remove the bolts, attempt to dig/vacuum out any saturated core, fill with epoxy and redrill, reassemble. Any ideas/warnings/advice on this process?
