    I leave my water shore connection connected. I do have a "sprinkler timer"
    on my dock box. You set it to turn the water off after one hour of running.
     My "one hour" lasts me about 2 weeks, then I just reset it back to one
    hour.

    If a hose were to break, I would get just one hour of water in my boat,
    not enough to cause any problems.
