lv-ab: Fore-n-aft or athwartship

I am restoring a tri-cabin trawler and am thinking about layout for the aft
cabin. Key question is placement of the berth. Usage will be a cruiser
and live-aboard (in about 6 years and counting!) and I will be using
    'Flopper Stopper' stabilization. Options are:

    On centerline, athwartship

    or

    off of centerline, fore-n-aft.

Most books I read say midship/centerline fore-n-aft is best, however there
will not be room to do this. It seems that fore-n-aft off the center line
would be next best, but I see many 'trawlers' with athwartship bunks. James
Leishman makes an argument for the athwartship placement in the Nordhaven
46: In a stabilized vessel, the greatest range of motion will be pitch as
    opposed to yaw.

Comments from those with experience? At anchor and/or underway?

    Must appreciated.
