Only idea I can think of is to build a box with drop sides, I am dreaming of
those rubber latches like tractor trailers latch their hoods with.
Soundproof the 2 sides toward the boat, open the other 2 and the top while
running. It is not just the hot exhaust that you need to get rid of, but
the air flow that carries off the engine heat. You cannot cool the motor
with already heated air. It will self destruct in one hour.
The above box at least would provide secure, relatively salt free storage.
If the railroad is using Hondas for their backup power, these are somehow
supplied with outside cooling air that is not remixed with hot air or
exhaust. More than likely they buy a special unit like I have at work.
