    Exactly what I have found.

    I converted the unit to low pressure propane, added a 2nd control valve,
    welded in a 1/4" thick piece of 309 S/S as a heat difusser above the
    burner, all without acceptable results.

    The temperature gradient between the center an an outside edge of the
    grill area, render the Magma as little more than a wothless piece of
    junk, IMHO.

    Given a decent grill, I can do some interesting things with it; however,
    the Magma will never be mistaken for a real grill, IMHO.
