    Seriously doubt the "faster" comment.

    1,200-1,400 miles of open ocean in a pleasure craft type trawler?

    Not this boy. Been there, done that.

    Took a 44 ft trawler across L Erie in rather modest conditions of 3-5 ft
    waves and 10 knots of wind.

    Felt like bouncing around in a bottle, damn near paid homage to the great
    god Ralph a couple of times, something I just haven't done yet.

    That boat didn't make that 50+ mile run any faster than I could
    comfortably sail it in my 30 ft boat which is about 10 hours.
