I have a personal dislike of high speed, light weight diesels, but they
are less expensive than lower RPM units.

I also was not real happy with experience with Yanmar iron over a 10 year
    period.

Know others who have not been happy with Yanmar customer service or lack
    of it.

Having said all that, you might have a totally different experience.

I wouldn't let an engine sway me one way or another if the rest of the
    boat is good.

There are no problems, only varying degrees of challenging opportunity.
