We are looking for infomation about living aboard in St. Croix USVI. My
wife has a job opportunity as a psychologist in Christiansted and I work as
a boat carpenter and joiner. We have been living aboard our 50 ft. wooden
motorsailor for the past four years in the northeast U.S. and we are so ready
to head south ( as I write this another nor'easter is heading our way with a
    bunch of snow).
The main question we have is in regards to the weather and being vulnerable
during hurricane season. Common sense dictates get out of the way during
    storm season
but the job offer comes with a minimum one year commitment.
We 're wondering if someone has experience on St. Croix and knows of good
hurricane holes. In addition are there satisfactory situations for hauling
out and making the boat safe in the event of a big storm?
