I would suggest that you and your wife take week long
trips, preferably out of the sight of land, before you
sell everything and push your boat away from shore.
The cruising lifestyle isn't for everyone, and it
would be better for you to make that discovery as soon
and as painless as possible.
I bought my boat, a vintage 37' Crealock, from a
couple who pushed away from Galveston, Tx. and after
they were at sea for three days turned around and came
back. When they reached shore, they put the boat up
for sale. I've heard of similar stories about couples
who made it to the Caribbean only to put the boat up
for sail and go their seperate ways. Something to
think about......
