Our marina has a 35 ton travel lift plus a marine railway for large
catamarans and other large boats (like the Navy Range boat and the
Dove replica and the like).
They charge us $8.00/ foot to haul, pressure wash, block in the yard,
and then unblock and put back in the water, but Bob says it's split up
in a weird way. We used to pay the same out of the water as in, but
they're doing it differently this year and it seem to be cheaper up in
the yard than it was at the dock. The labor rate for them to blast
and paint would be $40/hour, although Bob's always done the work
himself. They recommend that we buy the paint for them though because
they charge full retail price for it, and a gallon of Trinidad would
be $400, whereas we can get it for less at the marine store.
