The City Marina & Ashley Marina downtown are very nice -- and also
very, very pricey. Check mast height if going to Ashley & beware of
strong current at both.
They have services like vans that drive cruisers around town to
shopping etc. (these marinas are mostly geared for the superyacht
set; and can be a pain in the neck for the rest of us at times)
There's also a nice marina in Folly Beach -- much less expensive, but
20 minute drive away from town. Some shoeling on the route to this I
hear.
And there's another one just south of Charleston I don't much about.
Time to arrive: November.
