Actually, the rope just marks the beginning of the kill zone. Around here
they're mounting m60s on the patrol boats supplemented with LAW sholder
launched rockets carried by watch standers aboard ship.
In fact, they're trying to decide what to do about a sailor that didn't fire
at a woman on a PWC that broke the line and approached his sub. He
violated orders by not firing when she broke the line, but used good
judgement in not killing an over enthusiastic but none too bright military
spouse.
