Central vision blindness covering an area larger than
my hand at arms length. I ride my electrically assisted
bicycle at speeds of about 12 MPH without trouble on

the 7 to 121 zoom that is available. My left eye has
vision closer to the center than my right eye so I use
it exclusively for reading (like right now).

get me past a vision test.
Therefore, no driver's license and (what a bunch of
cr*p) VERY limited choices for boat insurance.
Therefore I guess I have to rule out cruising in any
state that would require 'licensing' even though we all
know what a load of politically motivate cr*p that is.
I can pass any test if I'm allowed to use my lighted
magnifying glass, and I am a VERY conservative boat
operator. No one has ever complained about my wake
because I don't make a wake in marinas or anchorages.
I operated my 14 foot aluminum fishing boat with it's
25 HP outboard for 12 years while my vision went from
20-15 in both eyes to legally blind (that took only 4
months) and never had any problems.
