Does anybody have any experience or knowledge regarding working as a captain
in the Bahamas? In the US, the industry is regulated by the USCG through
captain licensing and boat inspections. I'm wondering if there is a similar
situation in effect in the Bahamas and if so, would my Coast Guard license be
    transferable, etc.

Also, I was under the impression that it was difficult for a US citizen to
obtain a visa to work in the Bahamas. Never-the-less, I've been offered an
opportunity to run a boat and would just like to be a little better informed
(from an objective source) before I make a decision.

    Any info greatly appreciated.

    JP
