Speaking of flawed Government non-thinking, did anyone pick up on the silly
"no-fly zone" at the Superbowl last Sunday?
The proclamation was that all aircraft, including the traditional blimp, was
prohibited in the area of the Superbowl around game time. The idea, it
appears, since there were no AAA batteries guarding the area and no fighter
jets orbiting overhead, was to keep terrorist aircraft from the area by
simply telling them to stay away!
Well, even though it would be totally ineffective, it didn't cost much, so I
suppose we should just be happy that it was a very efficient operation.
