Wow, everyone seems to love Sarasota, and I have the
privilege of living here. I prefer to swing with the
wind and have a mooring near Marina Jack. The
anchorage is not without its problems, but with the
recent incarceration of two of my neighbours, things
    are looking up.

Marina Jack is right downtown and still accepted
liveaboards the last time I checked. The dockmaster
is rumored to be trying to rid the marina of sailboats
and liveaboards because the big power yachts are more
profitable. Its rates aren't cheap, but nothing is in
this part of town. I believe that there are a couple
Gemini, or similar, cats berthed there.

My personal vote would probably be for Twin Dolphin
Marina in Bradenton. It's right downtown in a
beautiful park like setting, with pretty decent access
to Tampa Bay and the Gulf. Their facilities are much
nicer than those at Marina Jack and they are less
    expensive.

Let me know if you want Marina Jack info, I can walk
over and get it or you.

    Jeff
