Jeff,
I've heard ONLY GREAT things about the sailrite machine. (I have no
assoc.disclaimer) I have also heard that regular domestic machines work well,
with the CANVAS/DENIM needle. (available at any cloth/sewing store). The ebay
idea is a good one, since a lot of purchases are made with only one project
in mind, then are no longer used.
Just an idea, can you do the templates, cutouts, zippers etc, and take them
too an auto upholstery/canvas awning etc. shop? (bring the thread)?
Could be lots cheaper then buying an expensive unit, for just a few projects.
Can you give me some direction/ LINKS, on how to make a dodger? DO's/ DON'TS,
tips etc??...A local sailmaker just told me, his dodgers START at $1,800, and
take about 4 months to make....There's got too be, an easier, cheaper,
quicker way.
Patrick
