Since I would have to get warranty support from Mack Boring, I'll stick to
their guidance. I'll start using synthetic after 250 hours. I don't think
that your answer came from Japan. Earl Heimer doesn't sound Japanese to me.
I suspect Mr. Heimer works for Yanmar USA.
The dichotomy between Mr. Heimer and Mack Boring is interesting. This
confusion is added to by an atrocious engine manual written by a Japanese
who learned British English and then tortured it almost beyond recognition.
