    When I was running tankers from the Gulf of Mexico up the East Coast we would
    carry Regular Gas, High Test Gas and Number Two Oil which was sometimes
    called Heating Oil. I heard nothing about diesel fuel so I think it is safe
    to assume that Number Two Oil is diesel fuel.

    The only odd stuff was Amoco High Test which was water clear. Amoco was very
    fussy about cross contamination because the clearness of the gas was Trade
    Dress.
