The percentage on the acid bottle was around 41% and I diluted about 50/50
with water. Pour the acid into water, not vice versa.
This is a powerful acid and must be respected. There is plenty of
opportunity to get hurt. Read my message carefully. I wore a tyvek coverall
and a full face mask. Jan was standing by with a water hose ready to spray
me at any time if I felt any acid on me and did spray me down thoroughly as
soon as I had finished applying the acid to the boat.
