For someone not famiiliar with diesels, can you explain
to me why this is the
case? Surely synths just do a better job than the
(?)dino oils.

The oil in a two stroke engine has to burn with the
fuel, I think even diesels. If I got this right, the
problem with synthetic oil would be that it resists
burning, maybe to the detriment of the engine. If the
oil doesn't burn it might build up in the cylinder and
cause the engine to stop altogether (quite suddenly)
because it won't compress like the fuel vapor will.
Of course I could be WAY off here as I have never even
SEEN a two stroke diesel!
