    The only ones that really work are reverse osmosis type, sell for about
    $160 at Costco and others. They throw away about 1/2 gallon for every
    gallon they make. You have to use the spigot supplied, not to mention that
    it's a good idea as you don't want to purify water used for showers, etc.
