    Susan,
I bought a 120A one in a Delco shop. It is an
alternator made for some old Cadillac model and
police cars. A new one, not a rebuild.
It don't have the finish quality (marine varnish,
etc.) of the Balmar but it fitted my Perkins engine
perfectly as well as my wallet.
I went to the shop with the old one -70A- and asked
for the same dimension for the fixation holes: I
didn't have to change the engine pulley nor the
    belt, which could be expensive.
With a manual regulator, it work fine for me but
you can also choose to leave the internal
    regulator.
I found the shop under alternator repare or rebuilt
    in the Yellow pages.
I paid $132 for it. You can also find 75A and 90A,
    etc.
    Pierre
