Well, Jim, that might depend on how often you change your underwear!!
Actually, we're in the same quandary, 35' boat that we toyed with finding
room for a washer but gave up, back to bucket and plunger for us too.
We found that here (Nova Scotia) some marinas will let you tie up for a
short while without charge - long enough to fuel and do laundry. Not sure
about US marinas, wouldn't count on it, but would be nice!
At any rate, we plan on laundry about every 2 weeks ashore and do small
stuff (underwear) on board when necessary. For us, that would be 14 sets of
underwear.
