My Verizon phone did not work in Bahamas. Some other boats had Cingular
that worked, but Cingular denies this, ATT "Global" worked. Verizon says
they have no Bahamas service. My calls were shifted to a Batelco number
which was always busy. Some locals told me that they dialed 1- before long
dist cell calls, I did not try this.
