I am guessing that they have a very small house bank (probably the
backup starting battery) and need lots of ice for the boat drinks.
Oh, and there is the TV, the VCR, the hair dryer, curling iron, water
heater, microwave, and probably (although you didn't see or hear it
over the genset), air conditioning. I figure the fuel for the genset
running all night is only a drop in the bucket compared to the cost
of running those big loud motors all day.
Sorry for the sarcasm but I am just blowing off a bit of steam after
the wonderful reception I got from the Power Boat clan that made me
feel so welcome in Holiday Isle after 3 wonderful days on the water.
(And I didn't even steal the toilet paper like they figured we all
do!):-)
