Hi,

Thought people might find this interesting:

http://www.mobileposition.com
- click on "Product Suite" and then "yachtPosition" in the Community apps
drop-down box.

Currently in testing in Sweden AFAIK. Their "Friendfinder" service is
also the subject of some discussion on the LBS mailing-lists.

This kind of thing should work in North America too now that E-911 is
finally coming into service, and GPRS etc. Over here in Europe there's a
lot of development going on on location-based services too, mainly centred
around A-GPS and EOTD technologies.

If anyone's working on a website to put their content online, specifically
for boaters, I'd be interested to hear about it.
