    Jim,
        I have used the Furacin treatment for many years and it works great.
    However, it was for wounds on horses. I'm not sure about its approval for
    use on people, but the only place I have come across it is in the equine
    industry (I've worked as both firefighter and EMT as well). You might want
    to check out whether or not it's approved for human use (it very well could
    be) before continuing use on yourself or anyone else.
