    Strictly an old wives tale.

    As an antiseptic, hydrogen peroxide is about as useful as a set of
    breasts on a boar hog.

    Betadyne, OTOH, is the weapon of choice for cleansing wounds every time
    I've had to go to the ER.

    Check Mark Anderson's med kit list. You won't find hydrogen peroxide in
    it.

    BTW, Mark is an ER physician as well as a sailor, boat builder and
    photographer.
