btw: It can't look as bad as the Starbrite teak sealer I used. It looks
like flat brown paint and seems to be staying there forever. Too many
other projects to do other than sanding all the toe rails and rub rails and
everywhere else there is teak on this teak laden boat. mike

Practical Sailor has been testing teak treatments for a number of
years. You can go to their web site and request a copy of the article.
One that stands out in my mind is Signature Finish's Honey Teak which is an
Acrylic Polyurethane. it looks like it will last forever if lightly sanded
and one coat of clear applied each year. I have had it on my boat for
three years and it still looks brand new. You won't find this in your
local chandlery, but they do have a web site.
The other winner on their list was Cetol. They recommended the satin
finish as I recall and I have used it on my cockpit seating area. I
haven't had it on long enough to make a personal recommendation.
