Hi Robert, Sunday Feb 3
I believe it was the Cetol Household version. The sales clerk said it
should work on a boat because that version of their product is directed
at
outdoor wood that is getting wet and exposed to the sun as in decks and
hot tubs etc.....I've been pleased with the results after two coats and
the boat looks fine. Make sure you get the the version that won't peel
if it's for outside.
I can only imagine that their indoor version would be more than suitable
for the inside teak of a boat. To answer your question about colour
shades, I'm sorry I can't remember, but I would think they have a clear
version available. I believe there was a colour chart in the store.
I'm convinced that boating stores add an enormous mark up on ALL their
products. An example is a stainless steel thermal drinking cup that we
purchased in a camping store and found the EXACT same thing in a well
known boating store for DOUBLE the price !!!
I rest my case.
