I tested SEMCO after getting all of the teak on my boat back to bare
wood. The stuff didn't last 4 months, but it was easy to remove. I
went with the Cetol Marine. 3 coats over bare wood with just a quick
scuff between coats. It's held up really well here in the Northeast. I
lay on a topcoat once every 2 years.
BTW, I've been lurking on the list. My name's Jeff Kay. I'm going
into my 6th year as a fulltime liveaboard in New Rochelle, NY (western
LI Sound). Boat's an '80 Gulfstar 44 CC sloop. I've replaced/upgraded
all systems. She's about where I want her to be (knock on teak).
Cheers
Jeff Kay
