When I bought Principessa 5 years ago, she was covered with SEMCO. Now I
don't know how often it is supposed to be reapplied, but it looked horrible.
Looked like flat tan paint. I understand that it doesn't go on that way,
but that's what I had to scrape off of a lot of teak. You will find as many
opinions on teak treatments as there are people on this list. There is no
consensus. But I can tell you that I will never use SEMCO or purchase a
boat again with SEMCO on it. I have a moderate amount of teak, see pictures
on web site below. I have had best luck with Schooner, and Interlux
product. Another precaution, some varnishes like Clipper are not designed
to be used outside.

Have any of you tried a product called Semco on your teak? It sounds as
though it is what the local Coast Gaud uses (but now that they don't do
their own yard work they couldn't ID the product). Produces durable surface
with a newly sanded appearance according to the mfr. Looking for real life
experience with this product.
Thanks
Denece
