I’m looking for information on manual waste [Holding tank] overboard
discharge pumps. Does anyone have any experience with them? What are
good features to look for and/or bad features to avoid? Who makes them
and who sells them? What makes them different from manual bilge
diaphragm pumps? Can I install a manual bilge diaphragm pump with a
Y-valve on the intake to empty the holding tank when necessary and be
available as a back up bilge pump the rest of the time? Would this be
legal if I locked the Y-valve in the bilge position when in no discharge
zones? Does a dedicated waste discharge pump need to be locked in no
    discharge zones?

    Any information will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Keith
