    Doesn't say plain sight. Says visible and permanent. Ours is in the chain
    locker. Visible means you can see it if you know where to look - without
    moving too much stuff. Plain sight means (to me anyhow) that if you can't
    see it you are visually or mentally impaired. Actually I would think
    somewhat hidden would be better -- if it was not terribly obvious it would
    be less likely to be found and altered by a thief. If you knew where the
    doc # could be found it would be a point on your side.
